  • Click Start RMA in the RMA summary box on the right side of the EPWI homepage. If you do not see the link contact your outside sales rep and it will be activated for you.
  • ITEM HISTORY SEARCH SCREEN:
  • On this screen you can search all the items that are eligible for returns. (Crank cores are still done through the crank core program).
  • You can select UPS return or customer returning and select 3(default), 6 or 12 months of invoices.
  • You can search by invoice# item# or description.
  • For KITS you can select the entire kit or any of the components to return.
  • Some 3rd party kits(i.e. Howards) will not be searchable and must be entered in the order notes (covered further down)
  • Reason codes are required and three of the reason codes (pull/pack error, boxed wrong, defective) will prompt for an explanation for the return. (Please be specific and include exactly what is wrong with the item.)
  1. After entering all items, Click VIEW RMA under the RMA summary box on the right of the screen, this will bring you to the RMA sheet (no Pricing yet, there is a note on the bottom of the page about pricing)
  • On the top of the sheet you can again choose your return option (UPS label or self-return)The boxes in red MUST be filled out
  • Your best guess as to weight and how many boxes for the full return.
  • You can still add items by clicking “add items” at the bottom of the page
  • RMA Notes at the bottom of this screen is where you would enter any additional comments and parts that are not searchable (the Howards kit parts and some special order parts, see policy)
  • Click process RMA, this will Send the RMA info to EPWI.net for Verification and give you your RMA number
  • After the RMA is verified you will receive an Email with a PDF of the return that will show pricing. . (If you don’t see the email CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL, if it is in your junk mail you can click it and add it to your trusted contacts.)
  • Also attached will be a link to your UPS labels (if requested) to be printed/cut/taped on the return boxes.
  • Carefully pack your returns, attach label and give to your UPS driver (do not call for pick up).
  • The shipping labels have a time limit of 10 days, if needed you can request new labels from your CSR.

Note that fees charged for the UPS electronic return label(s) are greatly reduced from UPS published rates:

GENERAL MERCHANDISE RETURN POLICY

A. All return items must be in saleable condition and original packaging. Open gaskets, engine bearings, or broken skin packs are specifically non-returnable.

B. Credits will be applied against purchases in the month issued.

C. We will not accept for return any discontinued, obsolete, non-stocking (special order), modified, installed, altered or un-saleable items.

D. It is the customer’s responsibility to get returns back to the originating warehouse in a timely manner. All returns must be shipped prepaid. Collect shipments will be refused. Upon request EPWI will issue a UPS return services label to complete a return. Highly discounted  freight charges for the return label(s) will be deducted from the customer’s credit memo.

E. All returns received at EPWI more than 30 days from the invoice date on which they were purchased are subject to a minimum 15% restocking charge. Merchandise returned in less than 30 days from invoice date will be issued credit at prices paid with no handling charge as long as total credits for the past twelve months are less than 10% of the sales for the same period. Returns exceeding 10% will be subject to a minimum 15% restocking charge. Core returns, policy adjustments, rebates, fully documented warranty claims and elite discount credits will not be subject to a handling or restocking charge - nor will they be included in the calculations for credits as a percentage of sales.

F. An EPWI engine kit component may be exchanged for an alternate component or size listed in the same kit for up to 30 days with no restocking charge. Customer must identify the return as a kit or size exchange, and identify the component and size of both the exchanged part and the replacing part to receive proper credit.

EPWI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CREDIT, EXCHANGE, RETURN AS IS, OR REFUSE ALL RETURN ITEMS

 

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE RETURNS

It is the installing mechanics responsibility to check the parts used for proper size and application to insure that they will correctly replace the original parts. We will exchange any incorrect parts prior to installation. We will not assume any liability for loss or damage if the wrong part is installed and will in no way be responsible for the customer-assembled engine or components. The only warranties provided for materials and parts sold by EPWI are those issued solely by the individual manufacturer of the part or material. EPWI shall not be liable for any labor charges, or other costs or expenses incurred by customer’s removal, replacement, adjustment, or repair of any part. EPWI assumes no liability or responsibility for any damages either direct or consequential. EPWI expressly prohibits and denies any person from issuing any expressed or implied warranty on its behalf. Manufacturers shall be the sole judges of all warranties. Any claims under the manufacturer’s warranty must be accompanied by a warranty card that has been completed by the customer.
